Die Baker Hughes Company ist einer der führenden Hersteller von Technologielösungen für erdöl- und erdgasfördernde Unternehmen. Zum Produktportfolio gehören neben Technologie und Maschinen auch Serviceleistungen für Ölfelder, Raffinerien und Pipelinebetreiber. Angeboten werden zum Beispiel diamantbesetzte Hochleistungsbohrköpfe, Bohrmaschinen, Messsysteme zur Datenerfassung während des Bohrvorgangs, Bohrflüssigkeiten, Ölquellenanalysen im Vorfeld von Bohrungen, Maschinen zur Trennung von liquiden Bohrabfällen, Turbinensysteme, Hochleistungspumpen, Kabelnetze sowie Filteranlagen. Kunden erhalten darüber hinaus Strategien zur Auffindung und Entwicklung von weltweiten Erdölreservoirs. Der Konzern übernimmt dabei auch das Management und die Wartung ganzer Ölfelder und Pipelinenetze. Im Juli 2017 erfolgte der Zusammenschluss von Baker Hughes mit dem Oil & Gas Geschäft von GE.
